Shade in February

The weather has been quite intersting for the past year.  Hopefully the severe drought will be a thing of the past.  February brought some very warm temperatures for lots of people around the country.  I don’t recall many days in February with a temperatures in the high 80′s.  It was enjoyable, but way too warm for the second month of the year.  Many plants have come out of dormancy early and have really begun to grown since we received a few inches of rain within the last two months.  I was glad to shed my heavy winter coat for a few days and just work in short sleeves.  Joe spotted these deer when he was out checking yearlings.  They weren’t sporting short sleeves, but did find some shade in an open hay shed.  Has it been warm in your part of the country?  Is spring springing way too quickly?
