Events and Rates at Moore Ranch—Longhorn Cattle

Our rates for 2010:

Daily Ranch Experiences (Includes Meals and Lodging) $145 per person

April—October, Ranch Vacations. Come and live our lifestyle with us. We are horseback nearly everyday, so get ready for some time in the saddle. We may be checking the longhorns horseback, doctoring them in the pasture or monitoring wildlife. Three meals and lodging are provided. $145.00 per day. Day visits, without lodging, are $100 per person.

We Provide the horses and all the equipment you will need. Lodging and three meals are also included.

April 7—9, 2010, Spring Longhorn Cattle Drive. Join us as we drive the cattle back from winter pasture. We will take a chuckwagon along and sleep under the stars or in cowboy teepees. $675

May 13—14, 2010, Cowboy School. Try your hand at learning some cowboy skills or just sharpen up on them. There will be horseback riding, roping, gathering cattle, branding and other everyday skills we use on the ranch. $290

June 21st, 2010 and July 9th, 2010, Branding. Try your hand at gathering the longhorns and joining us for a branding. Learn to rope and drag calves to the fire with the other cowboys or help the ground crew with the vaccinations and putting the brands on the calves. It is a very fun time of year with lots of camaraderie. $225

July 15—16, 2010, Short Cattle Drive. This is a shorter drive for those who are a little concerned about sitting in the saddle for a long period of time. We will drive the longhorns to our south pasture about eight miles from the ranch. We will camp out that night under the stars or in cowboy teepees. The next day we will ride back to the ranch. $450

July 29—August 1, 2010, Ranch Vacation During Dodge City Days Rodeo. Come to the ranch during this time period and take in the Dodge City PRCA Rodeo in the evening. It is an exceptional, professional rodeo.

September 4—5, 2010, Short Cattle Drive. This is a shorter drive for those who are a little concerned about sitting in the saddle for a long period of time. We will ride out nine miles to our south pasture, camp out that night under the stars or in cowboy tepees. We will drive the longhorns from our south pasture, about nine miles, back to the ranch the next day. $450

September 24—25, 2010 Cowgirl Weekends, or Scheduled anytime with a minimum of 3 women. Girls, leave your cowboy at home and head out with another gal to the ranch. This is for the ladies only. We will be enjoying the ranching life by learning skills, riding horseback, moving longhorns, watching for wildlife, cooking with dutch ovens and generally having a great time together. $290

October 6—8, 2010, Fall Cattle Drive. Join us as we drive the cattle to winter pasture. We will take a chuckwagon along and sleep under the stars or in cowboy teepees. $675
