Events and Rates at Moore Ranch—Longhorn Cattle

Our rates for 2012:

Daily Ranch Experiences (Includes Meals and Lodging) $175 per person
Day Experience (no lodging) $130 per person
Two day Cattle Drives $500.
Three Day Cattle Drives $750

April—October, Ranch Vacations. Come and live our lifestyle with us. We are horseback nearly everyday, so get ready for some time in the saddle. We may be checking the longhorns horseback, doctoring them in the pasture or monitoring wildlife. Three meals and lodging are provided. $175.00 per day. Day visits, without lodging, are $130 per person.

We Provide the horses and all the equipment you will need. Lodging and three meals are also included.

April 11-13, 2012 - Spring Longhorn Cattle Drive. Join us as we drive the cattle back from winter pasture, about 35 miles. We will take a chuckwagon along and sleep under the stars or in cowboy teepees. $750

June 29th, 2012 - Branding. Try your hand at gathering the longhorns and join us for a branding. Learn to rope and drag calves to the fire with the other cowboys or help the ground crew with the vaccinations and putting the brands on the calves. It is a very fun time of year with lots of camaraderie. $255

July 5-6, 2012 - Short Cattle Drive. This is a shorter drive for those who are a little concerned about sitting in the saddle for a long period of time. We will drive the longhorns to our east pasture about 11 miles from the ranch. We will camp out that night under the stars or in cowboy teepees. The next day we will ride back to the ranch. $500

August 1 -August 5, 2012 -Ranch Vacation during Dodge City Days Rodeo. Come to the ranch during this time period and take in the Dodge City PRCA Rodeo in the evening. It is an exceptional, professional rodeo. $175 per day plus cost of rodeo tickets.

August 16-17, 2012 - Cowgirl Getaway - or Scheduled anytime with a minimum of 3 women. Girls, leave your cowboy at home and head out with another gal to the ranch. This is for the ladies only. We will be enjoying the ranching life by learning skills, riding horseback, moving longhorns, watching for wildlife, cooking with Dutch Ovens and generally having a great time together. $350

September 3-4, 2012 - Short Cattle Drive. This is a shorter drive for those who are a little concerned about sitting in the saddle for a long period of time. We will ride the horses 11 miles to our east pasture. We will camp out that night under the stars or in cowboy teepees. The next day we will gather the cows and bring them back to the ranch. $500

October 10 - 12, 2012 - Fall Cattle Drive. We will be driving the longhorn cows about 35 miles from the ranch to winter pasture. We will take a chuckwagon along and sleep under the stars or in cowboy teepees. $750
